Mike Jesus Lemos

Mike Lemos is a proud member of the Kizh Nation and is also part of Chumash. Mike wanted to show his endless gratitude to the world of dance by preserving it through this foundation. “I am infinitely indebted to dance. It is what shaped my life and my path.”

Miriam Slater Carmean

Miriam Slater is an artist known for her surreal objects and paintings and her work is in a number of prominent collections. However, dancing in its various styles and forms is her other passion. When it comes to dancing, she finds the following dictum by Shakespeare to be a tried and true strategy for living life well: “Frame your mind to mirth and merriment, which bars a thousand harms and lengthens life.”
